At Doin’ the Buttz, barbecue isn’t just food—it’s a way of life. Born in Washington, D.C., Reggie learned early on that a good meal is more than just nourishment—it’s an act of love. As the oldest of three boys, he watched his mother, Dianee, create magic in the kitchen, filling their home with the rich aromas of fresh tomatoes, garlic, and oregano while cooking his favorite meal—spaghetti. That passion for food and providing for others stayed with him, shaping the foundation of what Doin’ the Buttz is today.

For Reggie, barbecue isn’t just about smoking meat—it’s about community, tradition, and giving back. Whether feeding his own children, delivering meals to families in need, or cooking for those grieving the loss of a loved one, he believes that a shared meal brings people together. His dedication extends beyond his business, as he volunteers his time and talent to cook for fundraisers and community events, always ensuring that no one goes hungry.
